My journey began in 2005, when I moved from Malawi to the UK to pursue a BSc in Chemistry at the University of Bristol. After graduating, I began my career in London, working for a respected family office — an experience that sharpened my business instincts and laid the foundation for everything that followed.

In 2013, my love for fine wines and a desire to uncover hidden gem, family-owned labels led me to establish Avanti Wines Ltd. The business has since grown into a trusted importer and distributor, connecting wine enthusiasts across the UK with carefully

selected, high-quality wines. Through this journey, I developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, authenticity, and the power of strong relationships.

While my business life flourished in the UK, my roots in Malawi remained strong. The idea for a wood export venture was born from a personal connection — a collaboration between myself and my father (Mapanga Furniture Ltd), to bring a legacy to life. Together, we began with ideas on exporting rare and valuable wood from my Dad’s carefully preserved collection dating back 25 years.

This partnership reflects both a celebration of heritage and a commitment to sustainable, family-driven enterprise.

Driven by this shared vision and a broader entrepreneurial ambition, I founded Avanti Assets Ltd — a platform to explore long-term value across diverse sectors. Today, Avanti Assets operates in four key areas:

1) Management of Real Estate on a Fee or Contract
2) IT Consultancy & Project Brokerage
3) Timber & Hardwood Export
4) Multi-Sector Trading & Deal Facilitation
